Now begining's may start off wrong, they may start off right, but be sure that beginings are important and memorable. So as I start off my first personal blog, I hope that important and memorable things come for you begining with the insight into my blog. Will they be interesting? No doubt. Will they be thought provoking, I promise. Will they bring a smile and a hope into your life? I hope. So as beginnings go, I'll introduce myself to you. I'm Narissa , given the name from my mother (who else?) and she said that she read the name in a book (no title to that book of course). I'm not a perfect wife, nor a perfect mother, nor a perfect friend, nor a perfect anything - but I'm important to some people in some ways. That thought keeps me going! I want to leave meaning to the things that I do in this world. You know that isn't an easy task. My children are wonderful - my husband is grand - my friends dear. But oh, my grandchild - well, there is no description other than the sweetest, most precious, most loved......just most incredible feelings going on here. I didn't know how I'de feel about this title of grandma - but the age worries are much overcome by the joy! (And I'm not that old!)
I run a business that employs almost 40 people and I feel that I'm so responsible for their lives and all that goes with those lives. I work at creating things - that's the work I love the best. I'm a problem solver, big time. I hate the HR part of my job and call it the "necessary" part of it. I think best when out driving in my car. I'm a procrastinator that has learned the skill of not doing that (well, most of the time). I learn new things every day. I try to do as much community good as time will allow me. I'm hooked in to that for many personal reasons and I love it. I'm currently trying to find balance in my life - a hard thing to get that scale to tip back the other way once you've tipped it one way. I think it means that you have to really get heavy on the other side - at just the right amount and then let it be even. I had a massage yesterday to try to get that balance, jury is still out if it helped. Now, that's Narissa for now.
